Hello!
Today I have a very boring task on my to-do list: washing my makeup brushes.
Sadly, I am someone who wears makeup most days and so my makeup brushes get very dirty very quickly and anyone who uses makeup brushes will know that to get the flawless finish you're looking for you need pretty clean brushes. And let's not even think about the amount of bacteria that's festering in those brushes.
So here is my incredibly cheap, easy, quick and effective way that I clean my brushes.
I simply run the brush underneath some lukewarm water and place some Johnson's Baby Shampoo in the palm of my hand. I then swirl the makeup brush into the shampoo making sure to get right to the bottom of the bristles(?) and that they're clean from top to bottom. My foundation brushes typically take two to three times until I feel like they're fully clean and ready for use again, but I find Baby Shampoo cleans them perfectly fine.
I leave my brushes out over night on a dry, flat surface and by the morning they are very soft and ready to be used once again.
I find Johnson's Baby Shampoo to be a great cheap alternative to all the brush cleansers out there and it's definitely worth trying!
If you have any other tips or tricks or a holy grail brush cleanser please let me know!
Until next time,
Lauren x
